Bio-based polymers/plastic materials with new functionalities for medical, construction, automotive and textile industries

This program supports the demonstration of production methods for bio-based polymers and plastics specialised for the fields of medicine, construction, automobiles and textiles.

Activities supported

This program supports the demonstration of new production methods of specialised biopolymers and bioplastics. Proposals should target only one field of application, but can present several solutions for that field.

Requirements

The applicant must be a consortium of at least 3 different unrelated legal entities in 3 different Horizon 2020 affiliated countries.

Financing

The Commission considers that proposals requesting a contribution from the EU of up to 15 million would allow this area to be addressed appropriately. Nonetheless, this does not preclude submission and selection of proposals requesting other amounts. Funding rate is 70% for profit seeking organizations and 100% for non-profits.

Upcoming calls

This program will have 1 more call on 2016 September 08 which has a budget of 188.65 million euros that it shares with several other research programs.
