This program supports the demonstration of new systems for utilising unused land for industrial or forestry crops.
Activities supported
This program supports the demonstration of new systems for efficient utilisation of unused land by converting cultivated industrial crops into added-value products. Proposals should identify the most suitable crop varieties for the selected environment, and implement sustainable agronomic practices to ensure long term land profitability. Proposals could also contain remediation actions for marginal or contaminated soils in order to convert or return these lands to use for agricultural purposes.
Requirements
The applicant must be a consortium of at least 3 different unrelated legal entities in 3 different Horizon 2020 affiliated countries.
Financing
The Commission considers that proposals requesting a contribution from the EU of up to 15 million would allow this area to be addressed appropriately. Nonetheless, this does not preclude submission and selection of proposals requesting other amounts. Funding rate is 70% for profit seeking organizations and 100% for non-profits.
Upcoming calls
This program will have 1 more call on 2016 September 08 which has a budget of 188.65 million euros that it shares with several other research programs.
