Improve sustainability of value chains based on forest biomass and increase productivity and profitability on supply side by adapting forests to climate changes

This program supports the development and demonstration of new forest management systems.

Activities supported

This program supports the demonstration of new forest management strategies that improve biomass yields and increase forest resilience to climate change. The new systems should currently be proven in a laboratory setting. Systems shall be demonstrated on several hectares of land.

Requirements

The applicant must be a consortium of at least 3 different unrelated legal entities in 3 different Horizon 2020 affiliated countries.

Financing

Nonetheless, this does not preclude submission and selection of proposals requesting other amounts. Funding rate is 70% for profit seeking organizations and 100% for non-profits.

Upcoming calls

This program will have 1 more call on 2016 September 08 which has a budget of 188.65 million euros that it shares with several other research programs.
