This program supports advancements in the cost effectiveness of PV systems, excluding PV cell development.
Activities supported
This program supports the energy yield optimization, lifetime increase and cost decrease of modules (encapsulating materials, glass and antireflective layers, anti-soiling layers, module architecture, etc.), balance-of -system components (electronics, inverters, tracking systems, etc.) or system configurations.
Requirements
The applicant must be a consortium of at least 3 different unrelated legal entities in 3 different Horizon 2020 affiliated countries.
Financing
The Commission considers that proposals requesting a contribution from the EU of between EUR 7 and 10 million would allow this area to be addressed appropriately. Nonetheless, this does not preclude submission and selection of proposals requesting other amounts. Funding rate is 70% for profit seeking organizations and 100% for nonprofits.
