This program supports the industrial scale demonstration of new methods of advanced aviation biofuel production.
Activities supported
The program supports the large-scale demonstration of technologies that are already in the working prototype tested in the operational environment stage. Biofuels from starch, sugar and oil fractions of food/feed crops are excluded. The demonstrations shall be the integration of the technology into first-of-a-kind or existing industrial scale plants.
Requirements
The applicant must be a consortium of at least 3 different unrelated legal entities in 3 different Horizon 2020 affiliated countries.
Financing
The Commission considers that proposals requesting a contribution from the EU of between EUR 5 and 10 million would allow this area to be addressed appropriately. Nonetheless, this does not preclude submission and selection of proposals requesting other amounts. Funding rate is 70% for profit seeking organizations and 100% for nonprofits.
